L'Occitane 20% Shea Butter Dry Skin hand cream

Jag hatar att ha torra händer. Hatar det, ingen överdrift. När jag jobbade som receptionist höll jag på mycket med vatten (torka av bord, allmänna ytor, osv), och hade därmed alltid otroligt torra händer. Nu när jag inte jobbar som receptionist längre utan mest är hemma har jag fortfarande torra händer, för jag fick minsann ingen paus från att hålla på mycket med vatten. Jag har helt enkelt mer eller mindre kroniskt torra händer. Det var nog därför jag köpte 20% Shea Butter Dry Skin hand cream när jag "shoppade loss" inne på tax free-butiken när jag åkte hem från Finland.

Vad tycker jag då?

Den sjunker garanterat in snabbt utan att lämna någon oljig hinna på händerna, jag kan återgå till vad jag nu höll på med utan att behöva oroa mig för att få handkräm på papper eller tangentbord. Handkrämen har en lätt doft av något, jag vill skriva lavender men är inte hundra på det. Hur som helst är doften väldigt diskret, du får hålla upp händerna till ansiktet för att kunna känna den.

Jag tycker att mina händer definitivt har blivit bättre sen jag började använda handkrämen. Jag smörjer in händerna så ofta som det behövs (i princip efter varje gång som jag hållit på med vatten), och tycker att den håller mina händer mjuka och fria från torrsprickor.

Skulle jag köpa den igen? Mest troligt.

I hate having dry hands. Really, really hate it. When I used to work as a receptionist I was always doing something that involved water and getting my hands wet, and therefore I always had really dry hands. Now that I don't work as a receptionist any more, and spend most of my time at home, I haven't gotten away from dealing with water. So my hands are still really dry. That is probably the reason why I bought L'Occitane's 20% Shea Butter Dry Skin hand cream when I was shopping in the tax free on my way home from Finland.

So, what is my opinion?

It sinks into the skin fast without leaving any oily residue on the skin, so you don't have to worry about hand cream getting on some papers or on your laptop. The hand cream has a very light scent, of what I'm not really sure but I want to say lavender. Anyway, the scent is really discrete and you can only smell it if you have your hands in front of your face.

In my opinion, my hands have gotten better since I started using this hand cream. I use it as often as I need (which is right after I've done something that has to do with water, like washing the dishes or my hands), and I think that it keeps my hands moisturised and free from dry cracks.

Would I buy it again? Most likely.

Sephora Express nail polish remover review

Sephora öppnade på Biblioteksgatan i Stockholm under april. Jag var såklart där och dreglade över allt som fanns, och kom dessutom hem med lite grejer. En av produkterna som fick följa med den här norrländskan hem till söder om söder var Sephoras Express nail polish remover. Vad det är är helt enkelt en nagellacksremover, som man doppar fingret i, gnuggar runt lite och sen tada! Nagellacket är borta.

Jag var lite tveksam när jag köpte den, tyckte att vanliga nagellacksborttagare på en bomullsrondell dög minst lika bra, såg inte riktigt fullt poängen med den. Men ärligt talat... Jag är frälst! Det är så enkelt! Den luktar inte särskilt mycket, sambon satt cirka 40 centimeter ifrån mig i soffan när jag använde den och kände inte lukten alls. Man doppar fingret i ungefär en minut, och sen är det klart, allt är borta.

Nu är ju faktiskt egentligen den stora frågan om den lyckas ta bort glitternagellack? De brukar ju vara extremt jobbiga att få bort, och du får glitter över hela fingrarna på köpet. Den tog bort glittret, man fick bara gnugga lite, lite mer, men sen var det borta! Och jag fick inte glitter över hela händerna heller. Däremot så tror jag att det är en bra idé att ha en Express nail polish remover som används bara till att ta bort glitter om man använder det ofta.

Men är den värd det? Ja!

Sephora opened a new store at Biblioteksgatan in Stockholm during the month of April. Of course I was there, drooling over every single product in there, and some actually followed me home! One of the products that came home with me is Sephora's Express nail polish remover. What is it? It's a nail polish remover (well... duh) that you dip your finger in, swirl around with your finger and tada! Your nail polish is gone.

I was a little hesitant before I bought it. I thought that regular nail polish removers with the cotton pad were just as good, I didn't see the point. But to be honest... It's fantastic! It's so simple! It doesn't smell as much as regular nail polish removers does, my boyfriend sat 40 centimeters from me in the sofa, and he couldn't smell it. You put your finger in it for about a minute, and then it's done, all gone.

But the real question is: Does it remove glitter nail polishes? I'm thrilled to say that it does, it actually does! You just had to rub a little, little bit more, but after that, it was all gone. And I didn't get glitter all over my hands, which is usually the case. But in my opinion it would be best if you had two of the Express nail polish remover; one that you use for your regular nail polishes, and one for your glitter nail polishes.

Is it worth it? Yes!

Clinique Chubby Sticks swatches + review

Clinique's Chubby Sticks kommer i två olika linjer: Chubby Stick och Chubby Stick Intense, där Intense har en mer intensiv färg och den "vanliga" Chubby Stick-linjen är mer skir till färgen. Alla Chubby Sticks är mjukgörande och ska behandla torra, spruckna, nariga läppar, samtidigt som de ger dem lite färg.

Jag köpte tre färger: Två från den vanliga linjen (Bountiful blush och Two ton tomato) och en från Intense-linjen (Plushiest punch). Alla doftar ganska gott, känns mjuka och smidiga på läpparna och återfuktar faktiskt (hade världens förkylning när jag tog dessa bilder, och därmed väldigt torra läppar. En halv dag senare, mjuka, fina, inte alls nariga längre!).

Bountiful blush har en ganska nude-färgad ton som i pennan ser väldigt mörk ut, men på mig blir den lite "my lips but better" och inte fullt så mörk. Den här färgen fastnade inte fullt lika mycket i de torra partierna jag hade på läpparna, så det är ett plus om man har väldigt torra läppar, vill ha lite färg och samtidigt något som återfuktar.

Two ton tomato är en orangetonad, tomatröd färg, som bara ger en liten ton av rött på läpparna. Den här färgen hade mer tendens att fastna i de torra partierna, så man får nog se till att inte ha fullt så torra läppar när man använder den färgen.

Plushiest punch kommer från Intense-linjen, är starkt rosa och är mer täckande än de andra två, men vill man så kan man såklart tona ut den lite så den inte blir lika stark. Fastnade inte sådär jättemycket i de torra partierna, men jag misstänker att man faktiskt bör ha en läppenna under den färgen, då den kan försvinna ganska fort.

The Clinique Chubby Sticks comes in to different varieties: Intense and the "regular one". The Intense version is more pigmented, whereas the regular one is more sheer. All of the Chubby Sticks are moisturizing and are supposed to be treating dry, flaky lips, while giving them a little bit of color.

I bought three colors: Two from the regular line (Bountiful blush and Two ton tomato) and one from the Intense-line (Plushiest punch). They all smell nice, feel soft on the lips and are actually moisturizing (I was having a cold when these photos were taken, and my lips were very dry. Half a day later, my lips were soft again!).

Bountiful blush is a dark nude while in pen form, but on my lips it turned out to be much lighter than in the pen and more of a "my lips but better"-shade. This was the color that tended not to cling so much on the dry, flaky parts of my lips.

Two ton tomato is a true, orangy tomato-red color. On the lips it gives just a red hint of color, which is actually perfect if you're one that's not used to wearing strong colors but still want to wear red. This color tended to cling the most to the dry parts of my lips, so you should maybe use this when your lips aren't that dry.

Plushiest punch is from the Intense-line, and therefore the most pigmented of them all. If you want it to be more sheer you could easily just tone it out a bit. It didn't cling that much to the dry parts, but I think that a lip pen might be needed under this, as the color fades quite quickly.

Essie "Dive Bar" nail polish swatches

Essie's "Dive Bar" var lite av ett spontanköp - ett väldigt vackert sådant. Visserligen lite vackrare i flaskan är på naglarna, men fortfarande vacker. I solljus ser det mörkblått ut, medan inomhus ser det mer mörkgrönt ut. Helt underbart och höstigt! Kommer nog använda den en hel del efter sommaren. Lackade med tre lager för att få den helt täckande (två hade kanske räckt), och använde Seche Vite som överlack.

Essie's "Dive Bar" was not really one of those thought through buys - but it's still very pretty, although a bit prettier in the bottle than on the nails. But still, pretty. In sunlight it looks dark blue, while indoors it looks more dark green. Dark and perfect for fall/autumn! I'll probably use this one a lot after the summer. Painted in three layers (two might have been enough), and I used Seche Vite as top coat.

Tax-free haul?

Eftersom min pojkvän och jag (och hans familj) åkte över till Finland över helgen, passade jag på att köpa lite saker som jag hade tittat på länge men som jag inte riktigt velat betala fullt pris för, när jag ändå hade tid och möjlighet att strosa runt inne på tax-freen på båten. Cirka en timme senare kom jag ut med det här:

Tangle Teezer - En utredande hårborste för oss som har lätt att få tovigt hår och som tycker att hela utredningsprocessen är ganska smärtsam. Den ska vara snällare mot håret, göra mindre ont och funkar med både torrt och blött hår.
Clinique Chubby Sticks - Köpte tre färger där (Bountiful blush, Two ton tomato och Plushiest punch, den sistnämna från Intense-linjen). Fuktgivande läppbalsam med färg, som är i formen av en penna (påminner lite om kritor?).
Lancôme Bi-Facile - Remover för ögonsmink som ska kunna ta bort vattenfast smink och är gjord för känsliga ögon (ska funka för linsbärare). Har länge velat testa den, men priset är lite saftigt...
Essie "Dive Bar" - Den här köpte jag mest för att den var så vacker i flaskan. Den skimrade och var mörk! Men sen så har jag inga andra lack från Essie, så det är ju roligt att testa nya märken.
L'Occitane 20% Shea Butter hand cream - Jag behöver alltid handkräm. Alltid. Och det är samma där, roligt att testa nya märken! Man kanske hittar något bra.

Since my boyfriend and I (and my boyfriends family) went to Finland this past weekend, I went to the tax-free shop on the boat, and ended up spending about one hour in there and spending a whole less money buying these things there than I would have if I had bought them in Sweden. So, this is what I decided to spend my money on after about one hour:

Tangle Teezer - A detangling hair brush for those of us who has got hair that loves to tangle up, and thinks that brushing your hair is actually quite painful. The Tangle Teezer is supposed to be not as damaging to your hair, make the detangling process less painful, and work on both dry and wet hair.
Clinique Chubby Sticks - Bought three of the colors (Bountiful blush, Two ton tomato and Plushiest punch, the last one is from the Intense-line). A moisturizing, colored lip balm in the form of a pen. Reminds me a little of crayons?
Lancôme Bi-Facile - An eye make-up remover made for sensitive eyes, that is supposed to remove even waterproof make-up. I've wanted to try it for the longest time, but it is a bit pricey...
Essie "Dive Bar" - I'm going to be honest with you: This one I bought only because it looks pretty in the bottle. Dark and shimmery! But on the other hand, I don't own any Essie nail polishes, sooo.... Let's say I bought it because of that.
L'Occitane 20% Shea Butter hand cream - I always need hand cream. Always. And I've never tried this one, but I've wanted to try it for a while now. It might be good!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

Min sambo var på 23-timmars kryssning med sitt jobb för några veckor sedan och frågade innan han åkte om det var något jag ville ha från tax-freen (eller, mer ordagrant: "Skriv ner exakt vad det heter, vad det är för något, och skicka helst med en bild"). Jag som hade stått och velat över Viktor & Rolf's parfym "Flowerbomb" i minst ett halvår såg nu min chans, och här är den. Min alldeles egna blombomb.

Han påstod att han köpte den lilla flaskan, men så vitt jag vet så är inte 50ml den lilla. Den kommer i 30ml, 50ml och 100ml flaskor, alla lika underbart fina att se på. Och doftar uuuuunderbart! Eller, ja, enligt min näsa då. Jag är allmänt värdelös på att beskriva dofter och liknande, så här kommer lite information om doftnoterna:

My boyfriend were on a 23 hour cruise with some people from his work some weeks ago, and asked if there was anything I wanted from the tax free (or, in his own words: "Write down the exact name, what it is, and I would prefer that you also send me a picture of it"). I had been wanting Viktor & Rolf's perfume "Flowerbomb" for at least 6 months, and there was my chance. And here it is; my very own flowerbomb.

My boyfriend claimed that he had bought the smallest bottle, but as far as I know isn't the 50ml bottle the smallest of the bunch. They come in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles, and they're all just as lovely to look at. And they smell amazing! Or, at least my nose thinks so. I'm rubbish at describing scents, so here's some information about the notes:

Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, Ballerina Freesia, Patchouli.

I'm hopelessly in love with this perfume.
